The Founder

Dr. Donald L. D. Ellis-Johnson is a native of Mount Vernon, New York USA.  He holds a Doctor of Educational Ministries Degree from Southwestern Theological Seminary, a Master’s of Arts Degree in Christian Education from Dallas Theological Seminary, and a Masters Degree in Public Administration. A retired Family Court Probation Officer, he has extensive experience in Human Services assisting children, families, communities, the courts and government. Donald served in civil service for thirty-three years.

Familiarly called Minister Donald, Dr. Johnson has a story to share. His bouts  with an identity crisis, brokenness, rebellion, addictions, and sexual immorality proffered him an awesome opportunity to experience God’s grace, mercy, love, and forgiveness. A modern-day prodigal son, Donald surrendered his life to the Lord in 1989.

Donald writes about his experiences and God’s amazing grace in his published autobiography, This Far By Grace, the Incredible Story of One Man’s Journey out of Darkness into God’s Marvelous Light.  The book is available from West-Bow Press, Barnes & Noble, Amazon, and where other fine Christian books are sold.  Now, a Bible Teacher, evangelist, Christian educator, theologian, and author,  Johnson travels the world explaining God’s word, proclaiming its truth, and helping people change through the Gospel of Christ.

He is an affiliated evangelist with the Next Generation Alliance of the Luis Palau Evangelistic Association, a member of the Evangelical Theological Society, Pentecostal Theological Society, Evangelical Missiologial Society, Evangelical Homiletical Society, and the Alliance for Black Pentecostal Scholarship.  A resident in the Atlanta, GA Donald enjoys traveling, reading, researching natural alternative health remedies, and hiking in the Georgia mountains when he is not teaching and preaching the Bible.
